Bring a little warmth home

There’s something incredibly comforting about lighting a candle, but it’s even better when it’s sitting in something you made with your own two hands. Come join us for a slow, calming workshop where we’ll be crafting handmade aroma candle holders.

Whether you’re a total beginner or looking to build up your clay skills, you’re so welcome here. This session is all about slowing down, trying something new, and making a beautiful piece of home decor for your space.

What to expect:

  • No creative rules: We will guide you through the basics of shaping and assembling your holder, but the design is entirely up to you. Want something sleek and contemporary? Beautiful. Leaning towards a cozy, rustic vibe? Love it. You have total freedom to make it yours.

  • Guidance every step of the way: We’ll be right there to help you smooth edges, construct a sturdy piece, and figure out how to cut out beautiful shapes so the candlelight can peek through.

  • The finishing touches: Once you’ve finished making a mess, leave the rest to us. We’ll carefully dry, glaze, and kiln-fire your holder. It takes about 2 to 6 weeks to do its thing, and we’ll give you a shout the second it’s ready to be collected and lit.

Come shed the stress of the week, play with some clay, and make something lovely.

The Game Plan

1. The Welcome & Intro

We’ll kick things off by settling in with some refreshments. We’ll show you a few finished candle holders to get your creative juices flowing, and quickly run through the boring-but-important logistics of how the glazing and firing process works.

2. The Demo

Before you touch a piece of clay, we’ll show you exactly how it’s done. We’ll demonstrate a mix of handy hand-building techniques, from pinching and shaping to joining pieces seamlessly so your holder doesn’t fall apart in the kiln (using a magical technique called “scoring and slipping”). We’ll also show you how to safely cut out shapes so the candlelight can peek through beautifully.

3. The Making Part

This is where you take over. You’ll get straight to crafting while we wander around to help, offer tips, or rescue any tricky designs. Before you leave, you’ll stamp your name on your masterpiece, we’ll snap a photo of it for our records, and grab your details so we can text you when it’s ready.

The Nitty-Gritty
